1. Kings Highway (Highway 35): A Spectacular Road Trip Route In Jordan

Known to be one of the most scenic routes in the country, Kings Highway or Highway 35 starts in Northern Jordan near the town of Irbid and runs north to south all the way to the town of Wadi Musa (the gateway to Petra). As it does take slightly longer, you’ll find that many people bypass it in favor of the Desert Highway.

While you’re embarking on this picturesque road by car, you will be stunned by beautiful scenery, archaeological sites, and historical sites!

Among the highlights are Karak Castle, Wadi Mujib, Umm ar Rasas, Mount Nebo, Madaba, Mukawir, and Dana Biosphere Reserve.

2. At-Tafilah Highway (Highway 60): A Dazzling Route To Take In Jordan

A lesser-known road, the At-Tafilah Highway or Highway 60 is another gorgeous route to embark on!

It’s a much shorter Highway, starting at Desert Highway (number 15) and finishing at Jordan Valley Highway (number 65). Be sure to stop at Al Borj Rest Restaurant for mouthwatering meals and enjoy how it uncovers a breathtaking view. The highlights also include a unique landscape near the junction with Jordan Valley Highway.
