Where To Celebrate Independence Day in Amman

Looking for somewhere fun to celebrate Jordan’s 80th Independence Day in Amman? From fireworks and concerts to air shows and family activities, the city is packed with events today, May 25!

1. The Royal Tank Museum

The museum is opening its doors for free today and hosting a huge Independence Day celebration until 10 PM.

Expect:

  • Military vehicle exhibition from the Independence era
  • Face painting & mosaic workshops
  • Tank coloring & Play-Doh stations for kids
  • 360° camera experiences
  • Live performances by the Jordanian Armed Forces Band and Al-Ajawid Band
  • Games, competitions, and prizes

2. Fireworks at Jordan Gate Towers

One of tonight’s biggest fireworks shows starts at 9:30 PM. If you want classic Independence Day vibes with skyline views, this is the place to be.

3. Big Celebration at King Abdullah II Gardens

Zain’s main Independence Day celebration is happening here today in Al-Muqabalain.

Highlights include:

  • F-16 air show by the Royal Jordanian Air Force
  • Paratrooper free-fall demonstrations
  • Balloon release in Jordanian flag colors
  • Folkloric performances
  • Concerts by Saad Abu Tayeh, Yazan Al-Rousan, Hamdi Al-Manasir, and Hussam & Wissam Al-Lawzi

The event runs from the afternoon into the evening and is one of the biggest celebrations happening in the city.

4. Family Activities at Al-Jubaiha Park

If you’re celebrating with kids, this one has a packed schedule from 2 PM to 9:15 PM.

You’ll find:

  • Children’s performances
  • National music
  • Folkloric shows
  • Drum parades
  • Live screen projections
  • Performances by local artists

A relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere if you want something more casual.

5. Concerts & Fireworks at the Roman Theater

The Roman Theater celebrations include:

  • Kids’ activities and games
  • Folkloric bands
  • National songs
  • Live performances
  • Concert by Nidaa Sharara
  • Fireworks finale at the end of the night

Definitely one of the liveliest spots in Downtown Amman tonight.
