Found: Your Next Lebanese Food Spot in Amman!

Your next Lebanese food outing is sorted. Beit Akkar just opened in Abdoun on October 2, right behind the US Embassy, and it’s serving up Lebanese classics with a twist by Lebanese chef Vicky.

Start With the Good Stuff

There’s a lot to choose from, so don’t play it safe. Try the truffle kebbe, then go for the kebbe nayeh if you’re a fan of the classic. The hummus comes three ways, while the cherry kebbe gives the menu another fun twist. Add some fattoush to the table, then try the labneh with makdous and homemade crackers for the perfect Lebanese bite. And if you want something a little different, order the beetroot carpaccio.

Save Room for Shish Barak & Mashewe

The shish barak is another must-try, but don’t stop at the mezze. Once you’ve tasted your way through the table, you have to have the mashewe to make it a proper Lebanese feast.

Stay for Tea and Dessert

Once you’ve made your way through all those mezze and mashewe, slow things down with tea and dessert to finish. Beit Akkar has both indoor and outdoor seating, with a fountain in the outdoor area that makes the space especially nice for a long lunch or dinner with friends.

Add This to Your Weekend Plans

New restaurant, Lebanese food, a table full of mezze, mashewe, and your favorite people? Sounds like a pretty good weekend plan to us. Head to Beit Akkar in Abdoun, grab a table with your friends, and order enough dishes for everyone to try a bit of everything.
