One Coronavirus Death, No New Cases, And A 24-Hour Lockdown

According to the Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, no new coronavirus cases were recorded in Jordan today.


However, one new death was reported at Queen Alia Military Hospital.



Despite these low numbers, Jaber stressed on the importance of social distancing and citizen responsibility, and announced that the government will keep working to develop an efficient health and medical plan for the coming months.


The Jordanian government has also announced a 24-hour complete lockdown on Friday, May 1st, to “enable epidemiological inspection teams to reach those who had direct contact with the COVID-19 patients”.
