King Abdullah II Of Jordan To Give Televised Speech On Independence Day

A royal decree was issued earlier today tackling the Kingdom’s 74th Independence Day, which will be celebrated on Monday, May 25.

But due to the coronavirus outbreak, this year’s celebrations will not entail all the traditions that Jordanian people wait for and enjoy on an annual basis. Instead, his majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan will give a televised speech addressing the public, and local channels will broadcast the royal family’s celebrations.

A lot has changed this year, and much of what we once enjoyed is no longer feasible, but it’s important to stay hopeful and stay safe.
