The Smallest Hotel In The World

Near the Shobak Castle in the south of Jordan is where you’ll find the smallest hotel in the world. The owner, Mohammed Al Malaheem, also known as “Abu Ali,” has turned his rundown Volkswagen Beetle into a “hotel” that fits two people.

The cozy (to say the least) space is decorated with adorable throw pillows to make any guests stay comfy, and adorned with other deco that gives it charm and character.

Given that Abu Ali used to be a tour guide for the Shobak Castle and its surroundings, he also managed to transform a nearby cave into a rest house complete with a bathroom and a kitchen. The hotel has hosted many figures such as ministers and ambassadors of many countries who were impressed by the entrepreneurial nature of the project.

The cost is $56/night for two people, including board and meals.
