<\/p>\n A language that our generation has created, a mixture between Arabic and English, using letters and numbers. Our parents just don\u2019t seem to accept that numbers can be letters, the same way we couldn\u2019t accept that letters can be numbers in Algebra.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2. Technology:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n They don\u2019t understand Face time, they can\u2019t use a tablet, Google is an alien, and social media is a plague to every son and daughter. I really want to know what goes through their mind when they create their Facebook accounts.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 3. Work and social life:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The weird correlation between work and social life is one that only our parents make. You come back from work, spend some time unwinding at home, then you get ready to go out with friends. Your parents will complain that you\u2019ve been out all day. How do you convince them that going to work is not like going out with friends?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4. Missed phone calls:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n They call you and you don\u2019t answer from the first second? Disaster. They call twice and you don\u2019t answer? Catastrophe. There\u2019s no logical reason for you not to pick up their calls and now you have to convince them that you really were in the bathroom or in a meeting or actually just busy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5. Clothing:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n They will always judge your ripped jeans, your fishnet leggings, and your crop top. They don\u2019t understand that this is how people dress and these are the latest trends.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 6. Hunger:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n There will be days when you head home full even though you haven\u2019t eaten anything. You just don\u2019t feel like eating. But then your parents accuse you of eating outside and lecture you on healthy eating choices and throwing away food at home. But when you\u2019re hungry and dying for a home cooked meal, they\u2019ll tell you that you could\u2019ve bought food on your way home. We\u2019re confused.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 7. Tidiness:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Some people are borderline OCD, they can\u2019t carry on with their lives without having everything orderly around them. The other half are messy, taking what they need in a pile of everything they\u2019ve left behind. Also known as your parent\u2019s worst nightmare.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 8. Coffee shops:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sometimes you just don\u2019t feel like studying or working from home so you decide to go to a coffee house instead.
