Stuff We Love

Amman Just Got Its Biggest Free Public Park Yet — Meet Al Nashama Public Park!

Looking for a new outdoor spot in Amman where you can walk, play sports, hang out with your family, or simply enjoy some fresh air? Then you’ll want to check out the brand-new Al Nashama Public Park in Marj Al-Hamam.

The massive park spans around 56 dunams, making it one of the biggest free public parks in Amman. Even better? It was named “Al Nashama” to celebrate the Jordanian national football team’s historic qualification to the World Cup finals, which gives the whole place an extra special meaning for football fans across the country.

The place is packed with facilities for all ages, whether you’re planning a family outing, a workout session, or a football match with friends.

Here’s what you’ll find there:

  • 11 sports courts in total
  • 3 football fields
  • 2 basketball courts
  • 2 tennis courts
  • 4 padel courts
  • A 1 km running lane
  • A biking lane
  • 5 outdoor gyms
  • Safe playgrounds for kids
  • Outdoor seating areas
  • Toilets and service facilities
  • Parking spaces and garage entrance

The best part is that it feels designed for everyone. Kids have safe spaces to play, sports lovers have plenty of courts to stay active, and families can simply enjoy sitting outdoors without needing to spend money at cafés or malls.

Amman has needed more large public spaces like this for a long time, especially spots where people can actually spend the whole day outdoors comfortably. Whether you want to go for a morning run, teach your kids how to ride a bike, play padel with your friends, or just enjoy the atmosphere, Al Nashama Public Park might become your new favorite weekend plan.
