Did you know? The World’s Largest Mansaf Record Is No Longer Held in Jordan

For many Jordanians, mansaf is identity, tradition, and a big part of every celebration. So imagine the surprise when the record for the largest mansaf was actually set outside of Jordan.

On May 22, during Jordan’s Independence Day celebrations, something special happened in Fairview, Texas. Jordanians living in the U.S. came together at Mansaf House to celebrate their roots in the biggest way possible, through food.

The result? An 18-meter-long mansaf made with 18 whole sheep, officially breaking the Guinness-style record for the largest mansaf ever prepared. Hundreds of Jordanians gathered that day, bringing the same spirit you’d see in Amman, Irbid, Zarqa, and everywhere in between. There was pride, music, laughter, and of course, a massive tray of mansaf that brought everyone together like one big family. What made it even more powerful is where it happened, far from home, but still deeply connected to it. It showed how traditions don’t stay in one place; they travel with people.

Mansaf House in Texas has become known for bringing authentic Jordanian flavors abroad, serving the kind of taste that instantly feels like home, including jameed, tender lamb, rice, and that unmistakable foodie experience we all grew up with.

So while Jordan will always be the heart of mansaf, this moment proved something interesting: Jordanians can take their culture anywhere, and even break world records doing it.
