Calling All Bookworms: The Amman International Book Fair Is Back!

Got a never-ending reading list? Add another stop to it. The Amman International Book Fair is back from September 24 to October 3 at the Jordan Center for International Exhibitions (JIEC) at Mecca Mall.

Head over to browse books from around the world, discover new publishers and maybe leave with a few more books than you planned to buy. This year’s fair brings together around 400 Jordanian, Arab and international publishing houses from 22 countries, with some publishers joining the fair for the first time.

There’s plenty more to do once you’re there. Spend some time at the literary sessions, where you can listen to discussions around books and literature, or check out the seminars happening throughout the fair. Bringing the little ones along? They can get in on the fun too, with a dedicated children’s cultural programme designed to give younger visitors their own activities and a chance to enjoy the fair beyond the books.

Whether you’re a serious reader, someone who loves discovering new titles, or simply looking for something different to do in Amman, you’ll have plenty to browse, explore and listen to across the 10-day fair. So bring your reading list, leave some room in your bag and make a day of it.
