Here’s Why Al-Weibdeh Has A Unique Art Scene In Amman

We love Al-Weibdeh for the art and here’s why!

You’ll find houses with Omani and Ottoman-style architecture that will sweep you off your feet.

Locals love the art present in every corner! Everywhere you go, you’ll spot artsy cafes, art galleries, and street art.

The Friends of Al-Weibdeh Association organize several events aiming to boost the cultural aspect of the area in every way possible. Dedicated volunteers gather and host all sorts of events in the arts. People love the stand-up comedy shows that happen on Tuesday night from 8 to 10 P.M

Dance enthusiasts particularly enjoy their live performances to folkloric songs. And if you’re in luck, you’ll attend a ukulele, guitar or violin concert. The atmosphere gets especially lively with hip hop dancers like Ahmed Mahmoud and other international acts.

Their latest success was their Art Without Chairs on the Folka platform, which brought together Syrian and Spanish storytellers for a variety of performances.
