With the stringent measures implemented by Jordanian authorities to contain the coronavirus outbreak, leaving the house is not an option and definitely not recommended. But what if you need something urgently?

Simple.

Ride hailing companies Uber and Careem have partnered with the Land Transport Regulatory Commission and the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission to help deliver all your needs straight to your doorstep.

All you have to do is download the Careem app and the process is very straightforward:

1. Select the “Essentials” car type

2. Choose the nearest supermarket, pharmacy, or bakery to you

3. Write down what you need or call the captain and tell him over the phone

4. Wait for your order and pay the captain in cash

You can only select one destination at a time, and your order should not exceed 70 JD and 7 KG.

Delivery fees are a standard 2 JD and they go to the captain.
