Jordanian State Announces Re-Opening Of Most Sectors As Of Saturday

The State Minister for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh announced that the majority of the economic and service sectors, activities, and facilities in Jordan will be open to the public starting next Saturday.

He announced that regulatory measures will be enforced in order to prevent a second wave of coronavirus cases. Here are the key points:

Mosques and churches will be allowed to reopen their doors for worshipers throughout the day while ensuring that distance and safety measures are in place.

All cafes, restaurants, hotels, motels, nurseries, and tourist sites will reopen provided that they conform to the highest health safety and hygiene guidelines.

Sports activities will be allowed to resume but without fan attendance.

The odd-even vehicle movement rotation system will be revoked as of Saturday in all governorates and public transport will operate at 50 percent of seat capacity.

Weddings and funerals ceremonies will remain banned.

Internal flights will be permitted.
