The best part about the wedding season has got to be the songs. You’ll always hear a great collection of old and new tracks that will have you leaping out of your seat and onto the dance floor. Here are some of those songs that are (over)played at every wedding in Jordan.

1. Zafetna 1 & 2 – Omar Al-Abdallat

Songs that were popular for the old generation to the bride and groom, a real party gem.

2. Songs about the governorates of Jordan – Omar Al-Abdallat

This singer has a song for every Jordanian governorate, and his songs are played at every wedding based on the bride and groom’s roots.

3. 3alli Al Koufiya/ Al-Da7iya – Mohamad Assaf/Omar Al Abdallat

This song is very exciting for Palestinians in specific and dabke lovers in general. The synonym is Al-Da7iya in Jordanian which is a favorite for people of all ages.

4. The Lebanese Medly – Samer Gabro and Hisham Al Hajj

This includes a number of songs like Oume Ta Nor2os, Jenni Jenni, Ya Bent El Sultan, and Tol3et el elwe w sha3raha tayir 3ala khadda.

5. Roddi Sha3ratek – Issa AlSaggar

This is a new song that came out in 2017 but has been played at every wedding since.

Or any other dabkeh song! The most important part of every wedding is having a dabkeh, any type.

7. Byetla3lo or Mililo – Hussein Salman

More party songs that are for the bride and groom.

8. Jeenak b Haya – Nour El Zein and Ghezwan Al Fahed

Or other Iraqi songs. Don’t ask why, but Iraqi songs are a must in weddings.

9. Shlon Ansak – Miami Band or any other Khaliji song

Khaliji songs are also a must.

10. Jordanian songs about the army and security forces

These songs are played for any element of the Jordanian army or security forces in case the bride and groom come from either. In case they don’t, it could be for any of their families and relatives.

We can’t forget Hawaki ya Ordon for Ahmad El Ali which has the same tune as Bushret Kheir for Hussein El Jasmi, but for our beloved Jordan.
